Austin, TX (KDBC) — You may soon have to pay more to register your vehicle. Governor Rick Perry signed a bill that would raise registration fees by $10 a year. That extra revenue would be used to fund transportation projects in the state, but it's not a done deal yet. Commissioners courts must still approve the increase. If approved, the average vehicle registration fee would be $78.
