Mesilla, NM (KDBC) — The New Mexico Department of Transportation (NMDOT) District One Maintenance office will be performing pavement rehabilitation on NM 28 from Mesilla, NM to the Texas state line.
The NMDOT will be placing a chip sealing product to assist in extending the longevity of the roadway.
The NMDOT will hold two separate Public Meeting to discuss the project details, time frame and traffic control restriction that will impact motorists along this stretch of roadway.
The first meeting will be held, Thursday, May 22nd, at 750 N. Solano from 6:00 pm. until 7:30 pm.
The second meeting will be held, Thursday, May 29th, at La Mesa Community Center, 744 San Jose Road, from 6:00 pm. until 7:30 pm.
The project is scheduled to start on Monday June 16th at mile marker 0 (Texas State Line) and work on the northbound lanes until they reach mile marker 28 (Mesilla, NM).
