Utility work by El Paso Electric near the East Side Transfer Center, will require Sun Metro to shut off electricity at the transfer center at 9:30 a.m. Friday, August 16.

The power outage will take place at 9:30 a.m. Friday and will last no longer than 30 minutes.
The entire terminal will be out of power during this time which means there will be no access to the ATM, TVs, lights, or cashier’s office.

On Monday, August 19, construction crews will start underground utility work at the Northeast Transit Terminal, 9348 Dyer. The construction at the terminal is expected to last about four days.

This work will require Sun Metro to close the south side bus lanes and portions of the parking lot. A safe, alternate boarding location for Routes 7, 35, 43, 44, 45 and 46 has been designed within the terminals parking lot.
All restrooms and waiting areas will remain open for passenger use over the duration of the project.
Sun Metro does not expect any major service disruptions during the construction and will have staff monitoring the area to help passengers who have questions or need assistance.

The construction work will include the creation of an open trench from the existing terminal to a location about 50 feet south in order to install a sanitary sewer line, water long and electrical conduits.
