Starting Saturday you can eat the freshest season vegetables straight from a New Mexico farm.

La Union Maze will open it's "U-Pick" vegetable garden where you can find around 20 different vegetables from eggplant to different kinds of chilies and squash.

If you don't want to pick the vegetables from the ground, there's a vegetable stand in the front where you can buy them.

"You’re going to be buying something that's locally grown and helps our economy and also you're gonna get a product that is tasty, that is fresh and that is healthy for your family," says owner Lucy Sondgeroth.

The price of the vegetables starts at 75 cents a pound.
