Monday, Congressman Pete Gallego filed the "Border Security Tax Relief Act" which he said would ease the burden Border Patrol Agents experience as a result of sequestration.

The bill temporarily exempts Administratively Uncontrollable Overtime from income tax for a year while congress addresses sequestration.

Gallego said AUO has become a core part of agent’s income, but sequestration has led to many reductions in the amount of AUO worked.
