EL PASO — Former El Paso County Commissioner Willie Gandara Jr. will learn how long he will spend behind bars Wednesday.
Gandara pleaded guilty back in July to conspiracy to distribute marijuana and establishment of manufacturing operations to distribute marijuana.
Gandara has been free since his plea and admitted to distributing nearly 124 pounds of marijuana from his property.
DEA agents monitored Gandara for several months and had him on tape talking about the operation. His sentencing is scheduled in federal court Wednesday afternoon.
