EL PASO — The El Paso County Sheriff's Office Anti-Bullying Coalition is working to stop bullying in the borderland.
The agency held its 3rd annual Run Out Bullying 5 mile, 3 miles or 1 mile fun walk at McKelligan Canyon Saturday morning.
All the proceeds will help fund programs to raise awareness at local schools to stop bullying.
We talked to a runner who said events like this are important to stop bullying.
"It's important to create awareness because like all things you got to speak out and you got to make sure that people are aware that it is still out there and no matter how many times you say it or talk about it, sometimes it can be ignored," said Estrella Wildensten.
