DEMING, NEW MEXICO — A bizarre death at a New Mexico truck stop is puzzling sheriff's deputies. It happened Friday in Deming. 42 year-old Charles Surber was killed when he was run over by a semi-truck at the Petro truck stop off of Interstate 10. According to the sheriff's report, the Tennessee man climbed underneath the truck and was run over when the driver backed up over him and then pulled forward and left without realizing what had happened. it's unclear why the man was under the truck, and deputies still haven't been able to locate the driver.
