LAS CRUCES — A woman who allegedly robbed a bank inside a Las Cruces grocery store last week used the money to go gambling. That's according to court documents released Monday. Fifty-eight year-old Yolanda Boyle allegedly walked into the Pros Ranch Market last Thursday with a written note that demanded cash. She claimed two men had kidnapped her seven year old granddaughter and were demanding that she pay them to see her. The clerk complied and handed over about $4,000.
Police say the kidnapping claims were a hoax and that Boyles actually used the money to go gambling at the Sunland Park Casino. They arrested her the next day.
