(CNN) — President Obama takes the fight over guns on the road this week. In fact, he is expected to be in Minnesota today which is his first stop in a campaign to win support for his gun policy proposals
He'll meet with residents and police in Minneapolis which is a city the White House says has already taken important steps to reduce gun violence.
Over the weekend, the White House released this photo of the president skeet shooting at Camp David last august, a nod to gun sports aimed at signaling law-abiding gun owners have nothing to fear.
Tomorrow, a bipartisan group of house members plans to introduce a bill to make firearms trafficking a federal crime and beef up penalties for people who buy guns for those not allowed to have them.
