EL PASO- David Ochoa asked City Council to approve his petition not to tear down the building and they did.
Ochoa now has until the end of next month to get 1,550 signatures on his petition to save City Hall. Demolition is expected early this spring and relocation is already happening in some departments. If the signatures are obtained, Ochoa will present them before City Council for a chance to get a vote next May with one simple question for El Pasoans, "Do you want to destroy City Hall?"
Ochoa and some volunteers will be outside City hall every morning and evening until they get the signatures.
