John Stinebaugh’s superior filly Dynasty Edition is the top qualifier for the $284,130 West Texas Futurity (Grade 1) from 10 trials held at Sunland Park Racetrack and Casino on Friday.
The FDD Dynasty filly roared to victory in the 9th trial under jockey Roberto Valero and clocked the 300 yards in a fast 14.887 second. The precocious 2-year-old is owned by Dutch Masters III of Clinton, Mo. Stinebaugh will hold a strong hand in the finale because he qualified three other runners with Anna Delovely, Wr Golden Eagle and Dream Ride.
The finale to the 55th running of the West Texas Futurity will be run on Sunday, April 14.
