The UTEP men's golf team fired 310 at the Wyoming Cowboy Classic on Monday in Scottsdale, Ariz., on a day that high winds forced the cancellation of the second round.
The tournament, originally scheduled for 54 holes, has been pared to 36 with the final round beginning tomorrow at 7:30 a.m. with a shotgun start.
The Miners are tied for 13th place in a field that features 24 teams. Wichita State is in first place (294).
Jacob Loya led UTEP by carding a four-over-par 70 in round one. He is tied for 10th place. Roberto Ruiz is tied for 27th place (76), Jere Pelletier is tied for 70th place (79), and Martin Simonson & Devin Miertschin are tied for 86th place (81).
