The New Mexico State baseball team continues its seven-game home stand with a three-game WAC series against Sacramento State. The series starts Friday, April 12 at 6:05 p.m. Game two is Saturday, April 13 at 6:05 p.m. while Sunday's series finale begins at 12:05 p.m. Game one and three of the series are on the radio at KSNM AM 570 in Las Cruces, while game two will be televised as a part of the AggieVision productions.
The New Mexico State women's golf team participates in the Cowgirl Classic hosted by the University of Wyoming beginning Monday, April 8. The tournament is the final non-conference event for the Aggies, before they conclude the season at the WAC Championship later this month. The three-round tournament runs until Wednesday, April 10 and is played in Chandler, Ariz., at the par 72, 6,299-yards Ocotillo Golf Resort. Each day consists of one 18-hole round with each round beginning at 7:30 a.m. The 19-team field is the largest for any tournament NM State has been a part of this season. Joining the Aggies in Arizona are host Wyoming, I-10 rival UTEP, Seattle, Boise State, BYU, Colorado State, Eastern Michigan, Montana, Montana State, Northern Arizona, Northern Colorado, Portland State, Sacramento State, Santa Clara, Southern Utah, Utah Valley, Weber State and Xavier.
The Aggie softball team is at home for the second straight week for five games. NM State starts the week by hosting No. 19/21 Arizona on Tuesday, April 9 for a 4 p.m. doubleheader. NM State then turns back to WAC competition as it welcomes UTSA for three games, Friday April 12 at 6 p.m. and a doubleheader at 4 p.m. Saturday, April 13.
The Aggie men's tennis team heads to Logan, Utah, to face Seattle U on Friday, April 12 at noon, and then wraps the weekend on Saturday, April 13 at 12:30 p.m. against host Utah State. The weekend is the Aggies' last regular season weekend before heading into the WAC Championships, April 25-28, in Denver, Colo.
The Aggie women's tennis team heads into the final week of competition before the WAC Championships by hosting Utah State on Friday, April 12 at 2 p.m., and then welcoming Denver on Sunday, April 14 at 10 a.m. for senior day. Aggie seniors Ginet Pinero and Jodie Williams will each be honored at Sunday's dual.
Track and Field
The Aggie track and field team heads to El Paso, Texas, for the final time this season with the UTEP Invitational, scheduled for Saturday, April 13.
