(CNN) — The surviving suspect in the Boston Marathon bombings is now at a Federal Detention Medical Facility. A law enforcement official said today (Friday) that Dzhokhar Tsarnaev was transferred from Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center. He's now at the Federal Medical Center Devens which is a Federal Bureau of Prisons Facility in north-central Massachusetts
The 19-year-old suspect also told investigators from his hospital bed that he and his brother Tamerlan were planning a bombing in New York City's Time Square and said it was an impromptu decision.
His older brother Tamerlan was killed during the pair's attempted escape from the Boston area last week. They're accused of setting off two bombs at the Boston Marathon last week that killed three people and injured more than 260 people. They're also accused of killing an MIT police officer and critically injuring another officer in their attempted getaway.
