El Paso, TX (KDBC) — City Hall has finally moved into a new space in Downtown El Paso. City Council has been holding their meetings at the Downtown library since the building was knocked down and Tuesday marked their first meeting in the new space.
The new City Council chambers are located on Campbell Street in Downtown El Paso. "They're really beautiful. I think they've sold a lot of problems that we had at the old city hall. In terms of the audio and the visual there's a lot more opportunities for everybody in the public and for the council to see what's going on in terms of the PowerPoint presentations and all that," Susie Byrd, District 2 City Representative said of the new building.
Byrd is one of the representatives that will soon be leaving her soon on Council. She is running for the District 3 spot on the EPISD Board. Her opponent is Alfredo "Fred" Borrego.
