El Paso — The El Paso Patriots are 0-1-1 after two games in the United Soccer leagues Premier Development League (PDL), after a season opening 2-2 tie at West Texas, followed by a 3-1 loss at Oklahoma City. The good news for El Paso is that it returns home for its next two games, including a rematch against Oklahoma City to christen the team's return to the Socorro ISD's Student Activities Complex Thursday, May 23rd, at 7:30 p.m. The Patriots wrap the home stand with a game Saturday, May 25th, against the Texas Dutch Lions, also at 7:30 p.m. MDT.
In honor of El Paso's return to the facility that has hosted some of its greatest moments, all SISD faculty, staff and students will be admitted free to the game with ID or shirt with school logo.

In 1995, a near-capacity crowd at the SAC saw the Patriots tie the Richmond Kickers, 1-1, before falling in penalties in the championship of the US Open Cup. In 2005, a crowd of over 7,000 was at the SAC as El Paso tied the Des Moines Menace in the PDL Championship before again falling in penalties.
