San Francisco, CA — Asiana Airlines will not pursue a lawsuit against a bay area TV-station over a major mistake in its coverage of the recent Asiana crash in San Francisco.
During KTVU''s noon broadcast Friday, an anchor reported erroneous and offensive names of the pilots. The bogus names phonetically spelled out phrases such as "something wrong" and "we too low."
Asiana Airlines called the report "demeaning" and said it was "reviewing possible legal action."
but Wednesday it said it would not file a suit after KTVU offered an official apology.
Three people were killed and more than 180 others were hurt in the crash. The early stage of the investigation has focused heavily on actions of the crew during the landing attempt.
