El Paso, TX (KDBC) — El Paso's new Bishop headed to Brazil to visit Pope Francis.
According to his Twitter account, Bishop Mark J. Seitz left El Paso, Tuesday night, with a group of local teens.
The bishop has been tweeting out some pictures of his trip to Brazil.
Pope Francis visited a Rio de Janeiro slum in a violent area known to locals as the Gaza Strip in the morning and crowds packed Copacabana Beach to hear him speak, Thursday evening.
Pope Francis has been in Brazil since Monday to participate in World Youth Day Festivities.
