CLINT, TEXAS (KDBC) — A deadly crash in Clint that left one man dead has deputies searching for a hit-and-run suspect.
The crash occured the night of May 22, however emergency crews did not discover the scene until the following morning. Deputies found a 2006 Chevrolet Cobalt in a farm field near Alameda and the body of a 43 year old male victim outside of the vehicle, later identified as Cesar Sandoval, 43.
Based on the investigation, Sandoval was traveling eastbound on Alameda Ave. when he lost control and veered to the outside shoulder which then rolled several times, ejecting him, as he was not wearing a seatbelt.
Sheriff's Investigators have information that a car was seeing right around the time of the crash and left the scene without stopping. It is unclear at this time if that vehicle was at all related to the crash or a witness.
