Las Cruces, NM (KDBC) — More than 1,500 New Mexico State University Aggies will move in to campus housing Sunday. Move-in day begins at 8 a.m.
Hundreds of student, faculty and staff volunteers will be on hand to help students and families. University President Garrey Carruthers will also help.
There are several new, high-tech changes on the NMSU campus this school year including Laundry View, a pilot program that will allow students to check washer and dryer availability online, and will also allow them to use their mobile device to check when their load is done. Laundry View will be available in family housing and Garcia Hall.
All student housing will include in-room recycling bins. Aggie Recycling will be there on Sunday and is expected to recycle more than 8,000 pounds of cardboard.
Students and family are invited to attend the Aggie BBQ at 5 p.m. Sunday at the Outdoor Stage, located east of Corbett Center Student Union.
