The Tornillo Independent School District has a new interim superintendent.
At Monday’s meeting, board members decided to allow Margaret Ruybe to step down from the position. District officials said she wasn't fired they felt as though they were overwhelming her since she is also the high school principal. She will remain in that role.
Board members selected Dr. Michael Quatrini to replace her.
As NewsChannel 9 has reported Former Superintendent Paul Vranish was placed on leave last November after TEA findings showed questionable expenditures.
