El Paso, TX (KDBC) — One man is behind bars for allegedly shooting a 44-year-old man.
El Paso police arrested 18-year-old Johnny Cervantes near Kingdom and Bell Wether Dr. in East El Paso.
Early investigations show that something happened between Cervantes and Francisco Perez's son.
Then, at about 2 a.m. Saturday, police say Cervantes walked outside of his home and fired a shot at Perez who was outside of the home.
Perez suffered non life threatening injuries.
It's unclear what lead to the shooting or why Perez was outside Cervantes' home, but police believe the shooting is gang related.
Cervantes is charged with attempted murder and aggravated assault.
His bonds total $75,000.
