Police have arrested two boys in connection with some of the fires that now rage across Australia. More than a dozen of the 62 fires burning in New South Wales are considered out of control.
There, in Australia's most populous state, fire has damaged or destroyed more than 200 homes and burned more than 287-thousand acres of land. Australian police have arrested an 11-year-old boy and a 15-year-old boy.
Police said, Monday, the boys intentionally started two of the fires north of Sydney, one of which burned more than 12-thousand acres. The New South Wales police force says the 11-year-old faces two counts of intentionally causing fire and being reckless.
