El Paso, Texas (KDBC) — Texas leads the nation in job growth. that's according to recent report from the Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas which noted that Texas experienced more job growth than any other state at all pay levels from 2000 to 2013.
According to the report, the highest rate of job growth occurred in the upper half of the pay scale. The two upper wage quartiles were responsible for 55 percent of the net new jobs in Texas.
The state also experienced growth in middle income wage jobs over the time period, whereas the rest of the nation saw negative or zero growth.
The report also says Texas has added nearly one third of the net new jobs created in the U.S. over the past 10 years.
