MUNICH, GERMANY— Another myth, busted.
A study conducted by researchers at the University of Munich and published in Nutrition has broken another myth— eating a large breakfast in the morning does not help you lose weight.
German researchers followed 400 people for several weeks and tracked their daily calorie intake. They found that those that ate a large breakfast also ate the same amount at lunch and at dinner, meaning a larger intake of calories than those who ate lighter.
Researchers said reducing the calorie intake at breakfast could also help with weight loss. Don't skip breakfast just yet— that could lead to snacking on less healthy foods all day.
