CHARLOTTE, N.C.— One parent has been arrested and his daughter has been suspended after the two got in a brawl with police at a high school basketball game.
Police said the fight broke out during a high school basketball game during two North Caroline high schools. The student has transferred from one school to another and was standing on the opposing school's side when she was asked by an officer to move to her school's side.
The father, Ernest Owens, became angry and began an argument with the officer. The student and the Owen's wife then got involved in the argument and began hitting the officer on the head.
No one was seriously injured, and there is no word on what the charges are against Owens.
