New Mexico State baseball and softball fans have plenty of opportunities to follow the Aggies for the 2013 season, through various media including radio, internet and television broadcasts.
The voice of Aggie baseball, Jeff Matthews, is back for another season giving the play-by-play action for the radio broadcasts on Las Cruces' radio station KSNM AM 570, while Jay Sanderson takes the helm for softball.
KSNM broadcasts a total of 34 Aggie baseball games and seven softball games in 2013. The broadcasts begin with softball Sunday, Feb. 17, when NM State takes on Colorado State at 11:30 a.m. (MT) at the Troy Cox Classic. Baseball broadcasts begin on Feb. 26, when the Aggies face off against NC State and will air tape delayed at 6:00 p.m.
The 34-game schedule for KSNM includes 18 away games, including live broadcasts of the Aggies game against in-state rival New Mexico, April 17 and NM State’s final series of the season at Seattle, May 16-18. Only the two games against NC State, Feb. 26-27, are on tape delay at 6 p.m.
Softball’s seven radio broadcasts will include home games against Texas Tech, Arizona and four conference teams.
Fans can also log onto NMStateSports.com from anywhere in the world and listen to any of the 43 KSNM broadcasts live on the internet for a fee.
Live stats are available for both softball and baseball free of charge with links available on the official NM State Athletics website (www.NMStateSports.com). Score updates are given through Twitter (@NMStateAggies) and promotional information can be found on Facebook (NMSU Athletics).
