Aggies start preseason football practice

The New Mexico State football team opened up the 2014 football season with the first day of fall camp, Friday, Aug. 1 in Las Cruces. The Aggies practiced for approximately two hours, running through individual position drills, special teams while also putting in work on team offense and team defense.

The Aggies are in the NCAA mandatory five-day acclimation period. NM State will be back on the field, Saturday, Aug. 2 at 3 p.m. (MT) on the football practice field. Click on the video below to get head coach Doug Martin’s thoughts on the first day of camp.

The 2014 NM State football season opens up on Thursday, Aug. 28 against Cal Poly University in Aggie Memorial Stadium. Season tickets can be purchased by calling 575-646-1420 or by going online to www.NMStateSports.com.
