Arlington, TX (KDBC) — It is no longer Cowboys Stadium, Jerry's world or the Palace in Dallas, the home of the Dallas Cowboys is now called AT&T Stadium.
Jerry Jones made it official today at the stadium located in Arlington, Texas, just outside of Dallas. The team and AT&T reached a multi-million dollar naming rights agreement that takes effect Thursday, July 25.
Jones called the company an american leader in communication for more than 100-years and called today's announcement one of his big accomplishments since buying the team in 1989.
"Opening this stadium and this announcement are the highlights of the time I've been involved with the Cowboys off the field. You know those Super Bowls are pretty meaningful on the field."
Financial details of the partnership have not been released, but several media outlets are reporting that the deal is for $17-$19 million per year. The Cowboys host the New York Giants in their season-opener Sept. 8.
