Las Cruces, NM — The Aggie volleyball team heads to the Western Athletic Conference volleyball tournament, which runs Nov. 25-27. NM State is the No. 1 seed and will await the winner of match two between No. 4 seed Idaho and No. 5 seed Kansas City. The Aggies play in match four on Tuesday, Nov. 26 at 7:30 p.m. (MT) in Grand Canyon Arena located in Phoenix, Ariz.
Radio Coverage: The Aggie Sports Network is scheduled to air all the WAC Tournament matches on KSNM AM 570 and if the Aggies make the NCAA Tournament, Radio of Las Cruces will also produce those matches as well. Jay Sanderson is giving the play-by-play action for any matches that air on the radio. The matches airing in Las Cruces can also be heard from anywhere around the world on the Internet by logging onto www.NMStateSports.com. Just click on the live events link to access the coverage for a fee.

Video Streaming: The Western Athletic Conference, in conjunction with its Web site partner NeuLion, has announced it will stream all of the matches of the 2013 WAC Volleyball Tournament. Viewers can sign up by visiting www.WACsports.tv.
The tournament will be held at Grand Canyon University in Phoenix, Ariz., Nov. 25-27. The top six teams will advance to the tournament with the top two seeds earning a first round bye. On Monday, Nov. 25, the first round matches include the No. 3 seed versus the No. 6 seed at 5 p.m. MT and the No. 4 seed versus the No. 5 seed at 7:30 p.m. On Tuesday, Nov. 26, the semifinal matches include the No. 2 seed versus the winner of Monday's first match at 5 p.m. and the top seed versus the winner of Monday's second match at 7:30 p.m. The championship will be played on Wednesday at 5 p.m.
All five matches can be seen on WACsports.tv by accessing the volleyball tournament package for a one-time price of $9.95.

Head coach Mike Jordan Picks up Win No. 350: As the Aggies Swept Utah Valley, Thursday, Nov. 21 in the Pan American Center, head coach Mike Jordan added win No. 350 to his resume. NM State is now 20-10 on the year, marking the 10th time the NM State has tallied a 20-win season during Jordan’s tenure.
Jordan’s first career win came against Hofstra, Sept. 4, 1998. His 100th win was a sweep at Middle Tennessee State, Oct. 19, 2003, when the Aggies were a part of the Sun Belt Conference.
Jordan picked up the most wins in a season in 2006 when the Aggies were 33-4 while losing in the WAC Tournament title game, 3-1 to Hawaii. The team did get an at-large bid to the NCAA Tournament that season, although, falling to Colorado in the first round.
Only one other coach at NM State has over 100 wins. Tom Shoji tallied 115 wins from 1981-86.
Murphy Wraps up Regular Season as one of WAC’s Top Players: Sophomore Gwen Murphy helped the Aggies sweep Utah Valley, and helped the head coach Mike Jordan tally his 350th career win by marking a team-high nine kills on a .467 hitting percentage. She also marked one dig, one solo block and four block-assists while scoring a total of 12 points. Murphy finished the season with a WAC-high .470 hitting percentage while posting a total of 143 kills during league play. She finished the WAC season No. 3 in blocks marking 1.29 per set and No. 8 in points with 3.39 per set.
WAC Volleyball Tournament: Top six eligible teams advance and play in the tournament. The Tournament will be held November 25-27 at Grand Canyon Arena in Phoenix, Ariz.
Monday November 25-
• Match 1: No.6 seed vs. No. 3 seed at 5 PM
• Match 2: No. 5 seed vs. No. 4 seed at 7:30 PM
Tuesday November 26-
• Match 3: Winner of Match 1 vs. No. 2 seed.
• Match 4 Winner off Match 2 vs. No. 1 seed.
Wednesday November 27-
• Championship Match: Winner Match 3 vs. Winner Match 4

Aggie in the WAC Tournament: The Aggies are 13-7 all-time in WAC Tournament matches and 1-5 in WAC Championship matches. All losses in WAC Championship matches were to Hawaii. NM State won its first WAC Tournament Championship and made its sixth NCAA Tournament showing in 2012. The Aggies were runners-up to Hawaii from 2006-08.
