Rhinos win streak snapped

The El Paso Rhinos suffered their first loss in 2014 falling to the Idaho Junior Steelheads in a shootout 3-2, the second round of the United Hockey Union National Championship in Las Vegas.

El Paso fell behind 2-0 but rallied in the third period. Jeremy Rezaeepour and Austin Hoff both scored early in the period to tie the game at the end of regulation.

After a scoreless OT the game would come down to a shootout. Both squads netted a goal each but Mackey Power had the game winner for Idaho.

The Rhinos win streak ends at 34 in a row. They will look to start a new streak Friday when they face the Soo Firehawks, 5:15p MT in Las Vegas.
