Montwood Head Coach Tony Harper will be honored once again by the University Interscholastic League, the high school athletics governing body in Texas, for reaching the 900 career victory milestone this season. The Rams legendary coach has the highest active winning record in the state of Texas and ranks 4th nationally.

The UIL will present Harper with an award March 8th in Austin at the 5A State Final Four. Last year, Harper was named the Texas 5A Coach of the year. His current win record sits at 908 with hopes that it will become 909 on Friday when Montwood faces North Crowley in the 5A Area Championship to be played at Permian High School.
