The board for the National Letter of Intent has turned down UTEP basketball recruit Isaac Hamilton's appeal, but he is still contractually bound to attend UTEP, however it's doubtful he'll ever set foot in El Paso. Hamilton can appeal the ruling to draw out the process but Tuesday, September 10 is the last day to enroll in class at UTEP and be a full time student. Local 4 Sports spoke with Tim Floyd, and the UTEP coach says Isaac is welcome at UTEP, but at the same time, hasn't spoken to Hamilton in months and very much doubts he'll ever be a Miner.

“We still consider the University of Texas at El Paso to be his best option when you weigh risk versus reward. Hopefully he will understand that he has until Tuesday to enroll, and he would be welcome with open arms. We still believe he made his decision to come here for the right reasons," said UTEP Head Coach Tim Floyd.

Hamilton has until Tuesday, September 10 to enroll at UTEP.
