Nichole Ayoub Anchor
Nichole Ayoub is a third generation El Pasoan and proud to be delivering the news in a community where most of her family calls home.
After receiving her communications degree at Baylor University, Nichole returned to the Sun City to pursue her dream job of El Paso news anchor. She began her career as a reporter from 1998 to 2003, and it was at KDBC that she achieved her goal of becoming a prime time anchor in 2004. Currently, Nichole brings the news to the Borderland each week night at 5, 6, and 10 p.m.
Nichole has always been open to sharing life experiences on air. Her favorite moment will always be when her then-boyfriend, Travis Hughes, walked on to the set during the 6 p.m. newscast and proposed live. She then shared her wedding plans from start to finish with viewers and invited the cameras to her nuptials.
Two years later, Nichole let her audience in on the fact that she was carrying twins. Viewers followed her pregnancy and again were invited to meet the twins on camera the day they were born.
In 2010, Nichole left the world of broadcasting to be a stay at home mom until she returned to her anchor desk chair in 2012.
Now, she is "mom" to whom she calls "H3", Heaton, Hampton and Heston, during the day and one of El Paso's news leaders by night. Nichole considers herself blessed to do both.
